Metaphoric Parrot!

Metaphoric Parrot!

Who are you fooling my dear.
An impromptu gesture stole my tears.
Woken from sleep.
By the noise of squawking birds.
In Submission.
Once submerged on a Sunday night.
His shell destroyed.
A dark creature emerged.
Was almost a limpet.
Held tight with might.
To his arrogant perch.

Who ‘s fooling who dark lover bird.
Such a manic mother f**ker.
Spilling the tolls of a million poetic belles.
Finding excuse me pleas in wishing wells.
A parrot speaking in tongues.
Understanding nothing repeats everything.
In the world of self recognition.
Scared of falling from your perch.
Because the parrot knows so much.
Not so stupid this parrot.
He knows it freaking hurts.
Just might finish him off.
Poor thing.
